KOSAY GORA IRON WORKS - MORE THAN A CENTURY IN METALLURGY

Open Joint Stock Company "Kosaya Gora Iron Works" was founded in 1897. Nowadays JSC "KMZ" is one of the leaders in metallurgy in Tula region, stably working and developing, capable of manufacturing high-quality competitive production.

The Works is one of the leading Russian producers of high-purity foundry pig iron, ferromanganese, industrial and art casting.

The production of The Works finds wide application in machine building, metallurgy and construction.

In 2007 The Works produced 691,2 thousand tons of pig iron and 62,5 thousand tons of ferromanganese. Increase of ferromanganese production was 107,3%, up on 4,2 thousand tons compared with 2006

In 2007 The Works produced 1 647 tons of grey casting, 272 tons of forged pieces, 2 166 tons of metal ware, 309,3 thousand pieces of slag bricks.

Overall commodity output in 2007 counted 8 230,2 million rubles (by data on 15/01/2008).

In 2007 the heat power plant of the Works produced 132 million kW/h of the electric power.

The power plant of the Works effectively operates not only for the production purposes of the enterprise, but also provides with heat, water and electric power Kosaya Gora urban village and southern part of Tula.

In 2007 the production of crushed slag stone amounted to 50,2 thousand tons, of waste slag - 314,1 thousand tons.

JSC "Kosaya Gora Iron Works" of today is associated with a stable and high wages, paid twice a month without delays, and an attractive social package, properly assigned taxes to budgets of different levels. In 2007 wages on average went up on 24,1% compared to 2006.
